The ShopJimmy discipline
Taking machines apart taught us how to put them together.
ShopJimmy is a large demanufacturing company. Since 2007, our teams in Burnsville, Minnesota have taken electronics apart at high volume — inspecting, testing, and processing electronics in volume. It is exacting work, and it teaches you precisely where quality lives inside a machine, and where it fails.
That knowledge is the foundation of our contract assembly operation. The facility, the 21 dock doors, and a team of 75 are already in place. When we build a machine, we build it the way we'd want to find it on a teardown bench: clean, consistent, and tested before it ships.
Disassembly-informed builds
Years of taking electronics apart shape how every unit goes together on our line.
Volume is our baseline
High-volume processing has been our day-to-day for years, with capacity for 1,000 vending machines a month.
Dock to dock, one roof
Receiving, kitting, assembly, testing, wrap, and shipping all happen in one 289,000 sq ft Burnsville facility.
